Senior QA Tester

You will be an experienced QA tester within our development team of a new, unannounced, third-person multiplayer franchise. You will be working closely with programmers, designers and artists.

You will be responsible for testing and evaluating the game on various platforms, PC and gaming consoles (GEN 9 consoles: PS5, Xbox Series X/S). You will ensure that console standards and requirements are respected and correctly implemented in the game for a successful submission. You will closely collaborate with other QA Testers and developers.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION:

    Organise test plans (smoke, compatibility, compliance, feature) so that every aspect of the game is thoroughly tested, and each release is held to high standards.

    Ensure that all bugs from the QA team are recorded in an efficient and informative manner.

    Research and identify potential opportunities to enhance the test process through improved methodology, tools, and automation.

    Respond to the development team’s requests in line with the project e.g. providing more information for bugs, balancing and validating bug fixes.

    Test and report bugs on assigned Console requirements.

    Deliver platform-specific feedback and reports to the development team.

    Report bugs in an efficient, complete, and informative manner

    Prioritise bugs depending on the project phase

    Comprehensive testing against specific first-party quality requirements (XR and TRC) Validate changes on console in order to ensure quality and stability of the game content, features, and builds

    Close cooperation with the Build and Release teams in terms of preparing builds for the launch.

    Prepare and send Compliance QA reports, validating the title for submission.

    Collaborate with other departments to assess their testing needs to cover all requirements and requests before the deadline.

YOUR EXPERIENCE:

    3+ years of professional QA experience in the game industry.

    Minimum of two shipped AA+ titles in consoles.

    Experience in testing games on PC and consoles (Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo).

    Strong knowledge and interpretation of compliance documentation and technical requirements.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and independent work style.

    Great understanding of development processes and the needs of different departments.

    Good understanding of quality assurance concepts, debugging processes, and procedures on console.

    Experienced working with issue tracking systems (Jira) and documentation tools.

    Experience working with compliance documentation and technical requirements.

    Experience with setting up console testing environments.

    Experience with Microsoft and Sony dev kits.

    Experience generating test builds.

    Experience with client-server testing.

    Experience with real-time networked multiplayer games

    Working experience in Unreal Engine is a plus.
